Moving Pictures - "Joie De Vivre" CDep
Spain's Moving Pictures make their US debut on Shelflife with their cdep "Joie de Vivre." This eight track wonder is filled with Sarah Records-esque bossa pop influenced by Bridge, France Gall, Cardigans, Francoise Hardy, Shoestrings, Laura Watling, Would-Be-Goods, and others. Moving Pictures are one of Spain's premiere pop/bossa nova groups. These ex-Siesta Records recording artists combine warm jazzy sounds with sweet, child-like female vocals. This cd also marks the first co-release between Shelflife and the brilliant Harmony label of Japan.
